Cataloging NOOK eReaders

eReader Comparison Chart

Cataloging eBooks -  INFOhio recommendation:

1.  Search your database for eBook record; if successful, use ADD ITEM.  Otherwise, proceed to Step 2.

2.  Then search SMARTPORT for eBook record; if successful, follow import instructions in Section 11.8.  Otherwise, proceed to Step 3.

3.  If none found, while in SMARTPORT, search for a print version.  If print version is found, download it as NEW (change oisl to k) and Modify it following the directions.  Remember, if you forget the" k", a warning will display that the captured record will overlay an existing record; click CANCEL and try again.

4.  If no print version is found, use the template.
